I wanted to have a party for him, but he said no. I couldn't just let it go, so we came to a compromise. We decided to go to a movie with Joe's brother John and his wife Diane. Well of course John decided to pull a fun prank on Joe. He got several 50 cent coins and had different people at the theater come up to Joe and give them to him. Here's where it ties into today's lesson. Joe thought they were $1 coins and so gave the attendant 5 of the coins for his drink.

Well the attendant didn't realize either that they were 50 cent pieces. We didn't find this out until we were on the way home. Joe realized what happened then, but at that moment we couldn't go back, because Joe was working at the hotel that night and needed to get some sleep. So instead, John went back to correct the error. The manager of the theater was so impressed that John would come back to correct a $2.50 error that he gave him two free movie passes good anytime and for any movie. So even if in today's society, some look down on those who are honest, there are still those who recognize it for what it is.
